Commercial new construction electrical and conduit installation
Underground through trim, on buildings that have a completion date somebody is already counting against. Conduit installation, branch circuit wiring, panels and devices, delivered in the sequence the programme needs them.
COM-A1 Scope by stage
Underground, rough-in, trim
Underground
Conduit and duct bank in the ground before the slab goes down. This is the least forgiving stage on the whole job, because correcting it afterward means breaking concrete. It gets laid out from the drawings and verified before the pour.
Rough-in
Conduit installation through the structure, boxes set, homeruns pulled to the panel locations, branch circuit wiring run and supported. Coordinated with mechanical and plumbing so three trades are not competing for the same ceiling space.
Trim and energisation
Devices, fixtures, panel terminations, labelling and testing. Inspections scheduled rather than hoped for, and a panel schedule that matches the building as built instead of as drawn.
Tenant improvement work
The same stages compressed into an occupied building, usually with a live floor above or beside you. Most tenant packages also involve removing what the previous occupant left behind.
COM-A2 Coordination
Being easy to schedule is part of the work
On a commercial build, the electrical contractor who causes the fewest arguments is worth more than the one who bid two percent lower.
We plan against the general contractor's programme, flag conflicts when we see them on the drawings rather than when we hit them in the ceiling, and staff the job with our own crew so a promised date does not depend on somebody else's availability.

Conflicts and missing information raised before mobilisation, in writing.

Staged installation
Each stage sized to the programme, with manpower committed against dates.

Inspection and testing
Scheduled with the authority having jurisdiction and prepared for in advance.

Closeout
Labelled panels, corrected schedules and documentation handed to the building's operators.
